Apple is developing its own Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, “Proxima,” aiming to reduce reliance on third-party suppliers. Set to debut in the 2025 HomePod mini and Apple TV, the TSMC-manufactured chip will support Wi-Fi 6E. Apple plans to integrate the chip into iPhones in 2025 and iPads and Macs by 2026, alongside its custom cellular modem development.
