Digital arrest scam: Andhra Pradesh police arrest five cybercrooks and seize cash and gold from accused

Five individuals from Maharashtra were arrested for extorting money by posing as police officers in a digital arrest scam. The victims were coerced into transferring a total of Rs40 lakh after being threatened with arrest over false narcotics claims. Police recovered Rs10 lakh in cash and Rs9.2 lakh worth of gold, and managed to freeze Rs20 lakh of the transactions.
