New York election results 2024: Kamala Harris wins with 28 electoral votes, continuing state’s Democratic streak

Vice President Kamala Harris won New York’s 28 electoral votes in Tuesday’s presidential election, continuing the state’s streak of supporting Democratic candidates since 1984. New Yorkers also voted to add an amendment to the state constitution prohibiting discrimination based on “gender identity” and “pregnancy outcomes,” aiming to protect transgender rights and abortion access.
