Mozambique okays Africa’s largest mangrove restoration project

Mozambique has sanctioned Africa’s largest mangrove restoration project, with Blue Forest planning to plant 200 million trees over six decades. Starting in November in Quelimane, Zambezia, this initiative will cover 155,000 hectares and generate approximately 5,000 jobs. It aims to remove about 20.4 million tons of CO2, contributing significantly to climate change mitigation.
