6-year delay to amend over-billing of power costs railways Rs 6.28 crore

An audit by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India uncovered a Rs 6.28 crore loss for North Central Railway due to negligence in addressing over-billing by Torrent Power Limited. The error involved incorrect tariff charges on an electricity connection at Agra Cantt railway station, which was primarily used for railway residential quarters.
