SC sets aside HC order advising adolescent girls to ‘control sexual urges’

The Supreme Court criticised the Calcutta high court’s remarks advising adolescent girls to control their sexual urges. It set aside the high court’s acquittal of an accused involved with a 14-year-old, convicted him under the Pocso Act, and urged judges to base decisions on law and facts rather than personal opinions.
