Melbourne to host 150th anniversary test match in 2027

Cricket Australia announced plans to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first test match with an Australia vs England test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in March 2027. The first match in 1877 saw Australia winning by 45 runs. The MCG will also continue to host the traditional Boxing Day test until the 2030-31 season.
