National Aerospace Lab develops ‘Kamikaze’ drone with 1,000km range

India’s National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) developed a ‘Kamikaze’ drone with an indigenously-built engine, offering a range of 1,000 km. These drones carry 30-40 kg of explosives and can operate without GPS. Deployed for precision strikes, they enhance India’s security forces’ capabilities. Hoverbee drones, previously used in counter-terror operations, have lower explosive carrying capacity.
