How they did it: Rural Harappans were sticklers for sanitation

About 4,500 years ago, Kotada Bhadli, a Harappan settlement in Gujarat, showcased advanced waste management practices. Researchers found that villagers systematically collected and disposed of waste, using dung cakes as fuel. This study, published in the Archaeological and Anthropological Sciences journal, highlights the hygienic and organized lifestyle of the Harappan people.
