Why this month has been rainier than your usual August

Safdarjung weather station in Delhi experienced rain nearly every day in August, with only one dry day. The station recorded 220.9mm of rainfall, making it the wettest August in four years. Meteorologists attributed the continuous rainfall to the monsoon trough and cyclonic circulations. More rain is predicted in the coming days. The city’s air quality remained satisfactory.
