Bangladesh tension continues as students turn down PM Sheikh Hasina’s call for dialogue

Tension continued in Bangladesh on Saturday as student leaders rejected Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s invitation for talks. Protesters blocked major roads in the capital city, Dhaka. This unrest comes after over 200 people died in protests against a controversial quota system, which reserves 30% of government jobs for families of veterans from Bangladesh’s 1971 War of Independence.
