CJI calls on judges to employ ‘a robust common sense’

At the Berkeley Centre conference, CJI DY Chandrachud urged trial judges to deliver justice without fear of distrust and highlighted the need for granting timely bail. He emphasized understanding the role of the accused in cases and advocated for greater trust in lower courts to reduce delays and unnecessary escalation to higher courts.
