Watch: Pastry Chef Creates Flying “Chocolate House” Resembling Disney’s Movie Up

Disney Pixar’s animated production Up remains etched fondly in our memories. ICYDK: the comedy-drama revolves around an aged gentleman embarking on an unforgettable adventure in his “flying” crooked house, supported by a bunch of balloons tied on the chimney. Over time, the “flying house” theme has inspired many decorations. Now, French-Swiss pastry chef and chocolatier Amaury Guichon has incorporated this quirky decor idea into making a Chocolate house. How cool is that? Sharing the complex preparation method on Instagram, he wrote, “Chocolate house UP in the sky! Can you guess how many balloons are there?”

The video begins with Amaury squeezing different food colours into multiple oval-shaped trays. After they are dried, he creates several mini balloon miniatures. A large amount of gooey liquid chocolate is poured into another oval container. Once dried, he sprays blue food colour on the enormous balloon-shaped chocolate. Next, the mini balloons are pasted on it. Once the elaborate process is over, the chef brings chocolate slices and pastes them exactly like the shape of the Up house.

After the chocolate house is ready, Amaury paints the sweet structure with myriad hues. It indeed resembled the “flying house”, right foodies? A long stick is then inserted into the large chocolate balloon and the chocolatey house is glued to the stick end. Tied with a string attached to the ceiling, the famous Up house can be seen floating in the air, perfectly mimicking the one in the movie. We loved it!

Viewers reacted to the fabulous creation. “This is incredible! Kevin (Up character) would love it,” praised Pixar productions. 

“So that’s what a food engineer does?” asked another. 

A person called the design “Amazing.”

“Wow, that not only looks amazing but totally delicious,” commented a foodie.

Calling the chef a “role model” a person wished for “the kind of talent I hope to have.”

“My jaw fell” confessed an individual. 

In the middle of this, a user said that the chef built the house “faster than a speed builder in Minecraft”.
