AAI checks 2 sites for 2nd Bengaluru airport; 3rd location today

As Bengaluru’s existing airport approaches its capacity limit, an Airports Authority of India (AAI) team has commenced inspecting three potential locations for a second airport. The team has already assessed two sites near Kanakapura Road and will inspect the third site along Nelamangala-Kunigal Road. This feasibility assessment is being expedited in anticipation of the 150-km airport restriction expiring in 2033.
